Sometimes, you've just got to show your kids you've still got it.

That's the plan for long-time MLB reliever Trevor May.

He hasn't pitched professionally since 2023, but the former Twins, Mets and Athletics pitcher is getting back on a mound.

May revealed the decision Saturday on social media, but there's a catch: He isn't actually trying to pitch in MLB again.

Rather, May's entire goal is to throw 100 miles per hour once more.

He said in a fun video on X that his 11 and 9 year old kids aren't impressed by his pitching ability when he gives lessons.

May hopes to show them how good their father once was.

May spent nine seasons in the big leagues with a 4.24 career ERA.

He struck out 520 batters in 450.1 innings.

May had six MLB seasons with the Twins, two with the Mets and a final campaign with Oakland in 2023.

He was often one of the more entertaining players in the majors with a goofy social media presence.

Now, May plans to document his comeback to high velocity. The 35-year old will take his fans on one final baseball journey.
