Pete Alonso is getting down to the business end of his free agency.
The New York Mets' all-time home runs leader is reportedly down to just three choices.
That's what MLB.com's Mark Feinsand reported on Tuesday night.
Those three teams? The Mets, the Boston Red Sox and the Baltimore Orioles.
"The Mets, Red Sox and Orioles remain the favorites for Alonso, who hit 38 home runs with 126 RBIs and an.871 OPS in 162 games this past season.," Feinsand writes. "Since 2022, Alonso has been an All-Star in each season, averaging 39 home runs and 115 RBIs with an.838 OPS in 159 games. Alonso was scheduled to make the drive to Orlando from his Tampa home Tuesday for meetings with the Red Sox and Orioles, though it has not been confirmed that those meetings took place. The Red Sox and Orioles are both looking to add an impact power bat to their respective lineups, while the Mets have enjoyed the benefits of Alonso’s power for the past seven years."

Feinsand adds that the Mets may be "hesitant" to give Alonso a contract that is longer than three years.
That makes it seem like if Boston or Baltimore want to give him a longer deal, they might be favored to get him.
Kyle Schwarber just landed a five-year deal worth $150 million, and he doesn't play the field and is also older than Alonso.

Schwarber has slugged even more in recent years, but Alonso likely will approach $100 million or more in his contract.
Potentially sooner rather than later, we'll know where Pete is going.
