As the 40-man roster movement goes on all across MLB on Tuesday, the Minnesota Twins have gotten in on the action.
They made a trade with the Tampa Bay Rays for a pitcher who was traded not that long ago by the New York Mets.
It's right-hander Eric Orze coming to the Twins in this deal.
Orze is a 28-year old right-hander who had a 3.02 ERA in 41.2 MLB innings in 2025. He got whiffs on 13.2% of his pitches, and his best pitch is a splitter.
The Rays had just gotten Orze in a trade last winter from the Mets for Jose Siri.

In getting Orze, the Twins had to trade minor league pitcher Jacob Kisting.
Kisting is a 6-foot-5 righty who was a 14th-rounder out of Bradley in 2024.
He has been mostly a reliever already and has struck out 77 batters in 73.2 innings in his minor league career so far with a 3.79 ERA. Kisting has reached High-A so far.
The Twins have an interesting offseason ahead as they try to build up with a new manager at the helm after a disappointing 2025 season.
Orze likely doesn't make a huge splash, but he's an effective arm that should be able to work in middle relief.
It's an opportune acquisition by Minnesota as Tampa Bay offloaded Orze to clear 40-man roster space. The Twins did well to make this happen.
