MLB insider shares Kyle Tucker update that only one fanbase will want to hear image

It's felt like an eternity this offseason hearing about where Kyle Tucker will be playing next season. The offseason began with him being tied to every contending team, but the news seems to have slowed to a few teams. No matter which team he goes to, he'd change the landscape of Major League Baseball.

Last season, the number one free agent hit 22 home runs, scored 91 runs, and had 73 RBIs over 597 plate appearances in his only season with the Chicago Cubs. His.198 ISO was the worst it's been since his 2018 rookie season. However, he posted a.282 BABIP and 136 wRC+. His 4.5 fWAR was the fifth straight season he's posted a 4.2 fWAR or higher.

There have been lots of talks of Tucker heading to the Toronto Blue Jays lately, but nothing has happened. The Blue Jays have already had a busy offseason, adding Dylan Cease, Cody Ponce, Tyler Rogers, and Kazuma Okamoto. Adding Tucker would further boost the reigning American League champions into World Series favorites next season.

However, MLB Network's Jon Morosi's latest report, if it comes true, would demoralize Toronto fans and the rest of MLB. Only one fanbase wanted to hear his latest prediction: the Los Angeles Dodgers. He says that "A shorter-term deal with the Dodgers might be the best outcome of all for Kyle Tucker." No one other than Dodger fans wanted to hear that the rich would get richer. Morosi mentioned that an eight- or 10-year deal was what Tucker was looking for, which may be the holdup on why he hasn't signed yet, since he turns 29 before the season begins.

If Tucker joined the Dodgers, that'd give them one of the greatest lineups in MLB history. It'd be a rather scary lineup that begins with Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Tucker, and Will Smith. They are already heavy favorites to threepeat as World Series champions, but signing Tucker would drastically increase their odds.
