Smith, the catcher, was part of the Dodgers' 2020 World Series victory.
Will Smith, a left-handed reliever, took over for each of the subsequent three seasons.
In 2021, the left-handed pitcher Smith achieved victory with The Braves, followed by a win with The Astros in 2022, and then secured another win with The Rangers in 2023. That's an impressive individual streak of changing teams and still achieving victory.
In 2024, the focus shifted to Smith's return to the Dodgers, aiming for another championship.
And here the catcher is again, delivering as a slugger to add another ring to his hand.
Smith is one of the more underrated Dodgers. While he's a premier catcher in baseball, he doesn't possess the same flash or dominance seen in some of his fellow players.
He just gets the job done day in and day out.
In the eleventh inning of Game 7, Smith demonstrated his own heroic capabilities.
