The Los Angeles Dodgers pulled off a stunner, signing free-agent outfielder Kyle Tucker to a massive four-year, $240 million contract this offseason, according to Robert Murray of Fansided.com.

This is a huge deal for the Dodgers, as the back-to-back World Series champions have now added the best free agent available, and will be the overwhelming favorites to win the World Series once again.

That means the Dodgers will have a chance to accomplish what the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes could not: get a three-peat.

Dodgers can do what Chiefs could not with three-peat odds surging after Kyle Tucker news

The Chiefs came up short in the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles in their quest to win their third-straight Super Bowl. It wasn't a close game, but the Chiefs came into the matchup with strong odds to win it all.

The Dodgers are hoping to avoid that same fate, of losing on the doorstep of greatness. Tucker's addition, the four-time All-Star who's one of the best players in the Major Leagues, should go a long way towards avoiding such a future.

While the Chiefs came up short, the Dodgers have the ability to not only make it back to the World Series but win it all for the third straight time.

Their new-look lineup with Tucker, alongside Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and Will Smith, among many other quality hitters, is the most deadly in all of professional sports.

As the rest of the Major League Baseball world reels in anguish over the Dodgers landing another top free agent, the Dodgers are aiming to cement a dynasty with their third-straight World Series title.

Three-peating isn't easy, and the Chiefs know how difficult it can be. But the Dodgers might have the best chance of any team for a long time, as this current roster will be hard to match ever again.

Tucker's addition to the lineup will be instrumental in the team going for their third-straight World Series title, and he should more than make the Dodgers favorites for the title this upcoming season.
