The Dodgers managed to overcome all of the odds against them to beat the Blue Jays and win Game 7, in one of the greatest World Series games ever played.
Dodgers' World Series odds defied
According to ESPN's win-percentage predictor, the Dodgers had just an 8.3% chance of winning the game at one point.
That was during the top of the 9th inning when Enrique Hernandez struck out to put the Blue Jays two more outs away from winning the title.
Unfortunately for Toronto, Miguel Rojas worked an incredible at-bat with one out, and hit a game-tying home run to send the game to the bottom of the 9th inning, keeping the Dodgers' title hopes alive.
Will Smith led the way in extra innings, with a go-ahead home run in the 11th inning to give the Dodgers a 5-4 lead.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto got out of some tough situations late in the game, ultimately getting the win and clinching the World Series title for the Dodgers despite such slim odds of winning in the 9th inning.
