The Los Angeles Dodgers are bringing back an old friend.

They've re-signed catcher Chuckie Robinson in free agency to a minor-league contract, according to MLB Trade Rumors.

Robinson spent a good chunk of the 2025 season in the Dodgers' organization after beginning it with the Angels.

He played in just one game at the MLB level for the Dodgers in 2025. He ended the year with the Atlanta Braves, who outrighted him off their 40-man roster in November.

Robinson has played in a total of 52 MLB games.

He appeared 25 times with the Cincinnati Reds in 2022 and 26 times with the Chicago White Sox in 2024.

He's only a.131 hitter in 138 MLB plate appearances.

In his Triple-A career, Robinson is a.268 hitter with a.734 OPS.

He is known as a strong defensive catcher, which is something an organization will always keep around.

The Dodgers still have Will Smith and Dalton Rushing, so Robinson is highly likely to open the season at Triple-A Oklahoma City. But he's solid depth for the Dodgers to have on hand.
