The Los Angeles Dodgers are gearing up for the postseason. This weekend marks the last series of the regular season for the Dodgers and everyone else across MLB.

Los Angeles clinched the division on Thursday and will likely have to wait until Sunday's games conclude before finding out who its opponent will be in the NL wild-card round. But the Dodgers know they will be in the wild card series, and will have three games at Dodger Stadium with the chance to advance to the NLDS.

Dodgers make roster moves in final series of 2025.

Per the Dodgers X page, Los Angeles selected the contract of Andrew Heaney, whom the Dodgers acquired in August after he was DFA by the Pittsburgh Pirates

In the corresponding move, the Dodgers optioned relief pitcher Will Klein, and transferred Nick Frasso to the 60-Day IL to make room for Heaney.

Heaney has spent most of September in Triple-A Oklahoma City, and in 10 innings this month, he's only given up one earned run and has 13 strikeouts.

Heaney may be getting called up to eat some innings during the last weekend of the season, but he may also be trying out for the Dodgers' postseason roster.

Los Angeles is going to need some pitchers to eat up innings these next couple of days, and this might be a great opportunity for Heaney to show he can still eat up innings.

Heaney is 5-10 this season with a 5.39 ERA in 120.1 innings.

The Dodgers are still desperate for a solution in the bullpen, and as bad as Heaney has been this season, it still may be an option as the calendar turns to October.
