The Los Angeles Dodgers won back-to-back World Series titles for the first time in more than two decades. The Toronto Blue Jays had it all but fell short, yet the Dodgers never wavered and emerged victorious. After this recent wave of success, the franchise might truly be a dynasty.

“The Dodgers have officially established themselves as a dynasty in MLB. 3 World Series in 6 years. 5 World Series appearances in 9 years. 12 NL West titles in 13 years. First back-to-back World Series champion in 25 years. Next year, they go for the three-peat,” Dodgers Nation’s Noah Camras wrote.

The Dodgers are likely to make some big moves this offseason. However, they will also make smaller moves to maintain team chemistry. One name linked to a reunion is postseason hero Kiké Hernández.

“In perhaps the least surprising news of the offseason, the two-time World Series champion Dodgers and utility man Enrique Hernández have mutual interest in a reunion, according to The Athletic. Hernández had surgery on his non-throwing elbow last month and will miss the World Baseball Classic. His status for Opening Day is unknown,” CBS Sports’ Mike Axisa and Matt Snyder wrote.

Hernández isn’t exactly the most reliable player during the regular season, but there is something about him in October. Not only is he one of the Dodgers’ most clutch playoff performers, but he also set the franchise record for postseason games played.

“With the start, Hernández officially logged his 87th career postseason appearance with the Dodgers, surpassing Justin Turner for the most playoff games in franchise history,” Dodger Blue’s Sebastian Abdon Ibarra wrote.

At 34, Hernández is entering the final stages of his career, so he is looking for a place that provides comfort. For him, that place is exactly what the Dodgers offer.

Hernández is currently recovering from offseason surgery; however, the feeling is mutual about reuniting with LA. If that comes to fruition, the Dodgers will have their Mr. October back.
