The Los Angeles Dodgers are currently competing to repeat as World Series Champions. They are taking on the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS at the moment.
However, the Dodgers' front office is still thinking about the offseason and what big additions the team will welcome. It happens every season that the Dodgers look to add in free agency, and as one of the biggest spenders in baseball, they look for the top names.
The biggest name this Winter is Kyle Tucker, but could the Dodgers make the move and open up the checkbook for the Chicago Cubs' outfielder?
Kyle Tucker's top landing spot prediction is Los Angeles.
In a recent Bleacher Report article, writer Joel Reuter lists the Los Angeles Dodgers as the top landing spot for free agent Kyle Tucker.
So, why would this work out? Well, the Dodgers have two of their outfield spots locked up, but left field is still a question mark. After flopping with the signing of Michael Conforto, Los Angeles likely isn't going to want to mess up another outfielder signing.
"If an outfielder is No. 1 on their shopping list, it's fair to assume Tucker is the Dodgers' top priority this offseason, and there is no question they have the financial freedom to contend with any offer presented to him by another team."
Tucker dealt with a big slump towards the middle part of the season, and then had an injury in September, but his evaluation is still going to be worth near or above $400 million.
The Dodgers have become known as a team in MLB that, if they want a player bad enough, they have the power to outbid other potential suitors. That may be the case once again this Winter when the Kyle Tucker sweepstakes get underway.
