The Los Angeles Dodgers finished a sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series on Friday night.

The Dodgers got six scoreless innings from two-way star Shohei Ohtani, who also delivered three home runs on the night.

Led by Ohtani, who also won NLCS MVP, the Dodgers are now headed back to the World Series for the second consecutive year.

During the postgame celebration of Game 4, Dodgers' manager Dave Roberts took over the mic and sent a message to the rest of the MLB, and riled up the home Los Angeles crowd.

"I'll tell you, before this season started, they said the Dodgers are ruining baseball," Roberts said. "Let's get four more wins, and really ruin baseball. Let's go."

It feels like it's everyone against the Dodgers at this point. Los Angeles has the highest payroll in the MLB by far, and they just continue to win.

According to Spotrac, the Dodgers' 2025 payroll is over $350 million. The MLB's four luxury tax thresholds for the 2025 season top out at $301 million, and the Dodgers' payroll is nearly $50 million over that.

There's been a push for a salary cap in the MLB over the last few years, similar to that of the other major sports. However, the players' association is against that, for obvious reasons, as it would limit contracts.

Therefore, teams with more money can spend as much as they want to put the best product on the field possible. That's what the Dodgers have done, seemingly filling every position with an All-Star caliber player.

Now, Los Angeles is back for its second straight World Series appearance, looking to win it all in back-to-back years.

The Dodgers are 9-1 this postseason with two sweeps. Los Angeles outscored the Brewers, who were the best team in baseball during the regular season, 15-4 in the NLCS.

Now, the Dodgers will await the winner of the Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays in the ALCS to see who they'll face in the 2025 World Series.
