The Los Angeles Dodgers are heading to the World Series after sweeping the Milwaukee Brewers. They will be traveling to Toronto to play the Blue Jays for a chance at back-to-back titles. This success for the Dodgers could be due in part to starter Blake Snell, who has shown up in this postseason, to say the least.

“The 10 strikeouts marked a postseason career high for Snell, who has a penchant for strikeouts, and made him the first pitcher in MLB postseason history with at least 10 strikeouts, one or fewer hits allowed and zero walks in a start of at least eight innings,” Yahoo Sports’ Russell Dorsey wrote.

Snell’s masterclass performance has made him the most reliable starter for the rest of the playoffs. However, for him, it is all about soaking in the moment.

“But just seeing what they’re able to do and wanting to be a part of it and knowing how important postseason is to them, that’s just something I wanted to be a part of. Even playing against them, watching, it was just always in the back of my mind, like, I wanted to be a Dodger and play on that team,” Snell said. “To be here now it’s a dream come true. I couldn’t wish for anything more. I’m just going to do the best I can to help us win a World Series.”

For the first two games of the series, manager Dave Roberts has announced who will get the ball.

“Dave Roberts said Blake Snell and Yoshinobu Yamamoto will start the first two games of the World Series,” The Athletic’s Fabian Ardaya wrote.

The Dodgers have gotten masterclass performances out of the duo. They might be the most unhittable pitchers in the postseason right now. The Blue Jays have a lot on their hands in this final series.

LA has the ability to give Toronto some very nightmarish matchups. The first two games of the series are also going to add to that list.
