MLB's hot stove season is officially here. Free agency is set to get going later this week, but there has been no shortage of rumors.
For the Los Angeles Angels, it was another disappointing season, and they finished 72-90, which was good for last in the American League West. At the end of July, there were rumors that the Angels would be shopping both Jo Adell and Taylor Ward, however, they both ended up staying put.
Now that it's the offseason, those speculative rumors are back with JP Morosi reporting that the organization will listen to trade offers on both sluggers.

Will the Angels trade Jo Adell and Taylor Ward?
It makes a lot of sense for the Angels to trade both their star players. After finishing last in the division, a rebuild or overhaul clearly needs to happen.
Taylor Ward was one of the premier sluggers in all of MLB this season, as he smashed 36 home runs and drove in 103 runs. He is under team control for one more season before he hits free agency. As for Jo Adell, he enjoyed a breakout 2025 campaign.
In 152 games, Adell hit 37 home runs, drove in 98 runs, and posted an OPS+ of 111. Any suitor would enjoy one of these two players patrolling their outfield with that level of offensive production.

An immediate potential suitor that comes to mind is the Philadelphia Phillies. The Phillies may need to replace both Harrison Bader and Nick Castellanos in the outfield this offseason, and even if they retain one of the two, Philadelphia's outfield lacks a true power threat.
Other potential teams that could make a run for Adell and Ward are the New York Mets, San Francisco Giants, and Cleveland Guardians.
