The Kansas City Royals made a trade on Monday to add some intriguing talent to the organization.
The Royals agreed with a deal to send cash, or a player to be named later, to the Tampa Bay Rays to acquire 27-year old outfielder Kameron Misner.
The Rays announced the deal on social media.
Misner made his MLB debut in 2024, playing eight games, before appearing in 71 games in 2025.
For Tampa Bay this past season, Misner hit.213 with five home runs and eight stolen bases.
He was originally a first-round pick by the Miami Marlins in 2019 out of Mizzou at No. 35 overall.
Misner is 6-foot-4, 220 pounds and both throws and bats left-handed.

His best moment of the 2025 season came on Opening day.
That's when Misner stepped to the plate with zero career big league homers and then hit one out in the bottom of the ninth in a tie game.
Misner slugged a walk-off solo home run for the Tampa Bay Rays to defeat the Colorado Rockies, 3-2. But this was no ordinary walk-off homer.
Never before had a player's first big league home run come as a walk-off blast to win his team's opening game of the season, before Misner did it for the Rays on Friday.

The Royals ought to make sure Misner is in their Opening Day lineup, just in case.
