It's the news Kansas City Royals fans were waiting for.
Well, sort of.
The Royals promoted a star Triple-A hitter on Monday. The problem? It wasn't Jac Caglianone.
The 2024 first-round pick has hit five home runs in his first week at Triple-A, but he isn't coming up yet.
Instead, the new promotion is outfielder John Rave, a 27-year old with some great numbers.
The move, reported by MLB.com's Anne Rogers, has Rave replacing the demoted Cavan Biggio on the MLB roster.

Rave is hitting .301 this season at Triple-A with nine home runs.
It should certainly be an upgrade on the former top prospect Biggio, who has now reached journeyman status and is batting just .174 at the MLB level this season.
Kansas City's calls for Caglianone's promotion will only get stronger. He destroyed Double-A, and Triple-A doesn't seem like it's giving him much of a problem, either.
It's an exciting time for the Royals and young talent. Rave will roll out the red carpet for Caglianone, at least, that's what Kansas City fans are hoping.
