The Minnesota Twins changed their roster in a significant way at the trade deadline, moving a ton of pieces. The Twins, mainly in the bullpen after trading Jhoan Duran, have so many questions to answer.
We all know Minnesota is expected to struggle in 2026, but it needs bullpen pieces.
One potential name that makes sense is Ryan Pressly, who played with the Twins from 2015-2018.
Joel Reuter of Bleacher Report believes the Twins are a team to watch for the former Houston Astros fan favorite as they look to rebuild the back end of their bullpen.
“After trading away Jhoan Duran, Griffin Jax, Louis Varland and Brock Stewart at the trade deadline, the Twins bullpen is sorely lacking in proven late-inning options. The top end of the relief pitching market has moved quickly this offseason, but there are still some former closers looking for a new home, including Seranthony Dominguez, Chad Green, Ryan Pressly and Kirby Yates” Reuter wrote.
Pressly brings a lot of what a contender wants, which Minnesota isn't: He has postseason experience, closed games at the highest level, and more. He struggled some last year, but the stuff can still be above average.
A reunion would be a nice story to what’s been a great career.
