It has been quite the offseason for the Detroit Tigers. Fans have been on the edge of their seat to see if their ace, Tarik Skubal, will be traded or not this offseason.

So far, he has stayed put, likely because of what Detroit is asking in return. The Tigers are not just going to give up one of the best pitchers in the league for nothing.

Outside of that, the club has made moves to help shore up its bullpen. They re-signed Kyle Finnegan and brought in Kenley Jansen on a one-year deal. They were also able to retain Gleyber Torres, who accepted a one-year qualifying offer.

While Detroit has made some good moves, it could still use some more bodies. They could use another frontline starter to pair with Skubal, could use some help on the left side of the infield, and could use an upgrade in the outfield.

Luckily for them, there are still some impactful players still sittiing on the open market. Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer makes the case that Detroit should go after one of the best players still without a contract for the 2026 season.

"The Tigers are overdue for a big splash. They still have a chance to make one, whether it's on Alex Bregman to play third or a co-ace who could become their ace in the post-Skubal years. To the latter end, Framber Valdez and Ranger Suarez are still out there."

Rymer believes the club should go out and sign one of Alex Bregman, Framber Valdez, or Ranger Suarez. Any of these players would excite the fanbase and could further deepen their contending status.

However, they are not the only ones looking to make a big splash. So, if they want one of these players, they'd better act fast before it is too late.
