As the St. Louis Cardinals' season came to an end, it is time to start thinking about the offseason. One of the biggest stories here will be what the front office decides to do with 10-time Gold Glove Award winner Nolan Arenado.

The club tried its best to trade him last offseason, but the club could not find a suitor of Arenado's liking. They had a deal set up with the Houston Astros, but with his trade clause, he was able to block the trade.

With the team focusing on their younger core, St. Louis will look to find another trade suitor for their star slugger. Arenado is expected to open up his list of teams he would feel comfortable with, which could truly help this AL Central team's chances.

The Detroit Tigers have experienced a rollercoaster ride this season. They went from one of MLB's best to collapsing at the end of the regular season and nearly missing the playoffs.

However, they were able to get in just barely, and they have a good foundation underneath them. Redbirds Rants' Josh Jacobs believes they could be a team that Arenado could be interested in joining.

"For Arenado, the Tigers represent a true contender, and the fact that they are in the American League gives them an even clearer path to the World Series compared to the National League contenders."

Detroit has employed several players at third base this season, and Arenado could help stabilize that hole. He would also be a veteran presence that could help the younger players as they continue to develop their talent in the big leagues.
