The Detroit Tigers will head into the winter with a ton of questions. They have 10 players who are or have the option to become free agents during the offseason.

Some of these names include Alex Cobb, Kyle Finnegan, Gleyber Torres, and Jose Urquidy. Many of those players played important roles this season, and it could be tough to lose them.

Detroit also has to figure out what they are going to do with Tarik Skubal, who is under team control until next season. The team could look at getting an extension done or signing a one-year deal for his final year of arbitration.

This year's free agent class will be a good one. There are plenty of star players for teams to chase, and some players are looking to prove themselves after a tough season.

One of these players who will receive a ton of attention this winter will be Alex Bregman. He opted out of his contract with the Boston Red Sox earlier this week and is someone the Detroit Free Press' Ryan Ford wants to see Detroit target.

"The Tigers' big target last winter, he answered pretty much every question about potentially declining production, with a .273/.360/.462 slash line in 114 games with the Boston Red Sox. Bregman would be opting out of just over $83 million over the next two seasons to become a free agent again, but with $40 million of that deferred, it's probably worth it."

Bregman was someone the Tigers were high on last offseason, but were edged out by the Red Sox. Now with some history, Detroit could try again this winter and sign someone who would help take this club to another level.
