For the Cleveland Guardians, the past week has gone incredibly poorly. They've lost seven straight games to close June and begin July. Before the losing streak gets out of hand, the Guardians need to make some changes.
One of those changes, according to Tommy Ward of Sports Illustrated, should be to call up multiple top prospects. There are a couple of prospects the team could take a chance on, and should, before they fall too far out of postseason contention.
"Chase De Lauter, C.J. Kayfus, and Juan Brito have nothing left to prove at the minor league level." Ward wrote. "The trio of the Guardians' prospects have all proven they are ready for The Show, and the Triple-A stats are just one piece of evidence."
Down in Triple-A, Kafus is smashing the baseball. He's hitting .313 with a .408 on-base percentage and a .571 slugging percentage. With the team's hole in right field, first base, and designated hitter, Kafus would be a major upgrade no matter where he lined up.

DeLauter, the Guardians ' second-ranked prospect, is also playing well in Triple-A. He's batting .290 with a .398 on-base percentage and a .486 slugging percentage. DeLauter could fill in nicely for Lane Thomas in center amid his struggles this season.
Brito, while not putting up as ridiculous statistics as DeLauter or Kafus, is still a solid bat and a versatile infielder that the team could use. Brito is hitting .259 in Triple-A, with a .361 on-base percentage and a .469 slugging percentage.
All three would be positive additions to the offense if called up. Kafus's .954 OPS and DeLauter's .884 OPS would be the highest on the Guardians, while Brito's .830 OPS would be second only to Jose Ramirez.
The Major Leagues are different, and the three prospects likely wouldn't hit as well in the majors as they do in the minors, but with the Guardians' skid lately, it's more than worthwhile to give them a chance in the Major Leagues.
