No one in professional baseball steals bases like Tommy Hawke. No one.
The Cleveland Guardians' 22-year old prospect is swiping bags in a way very few have ever done in the history of the game.
Hawke's stats so far through 60 games at Single-A Lynchburg: 63 steals in 68 attempts.

Hawke was a sixth-round pick in 2023 out of Wake Forest, and he's repeating Single-A this season, so he's not an uber-prospect.
But boy, he can fly.
Last season, he had 37 steals in 48 tries, so he's improved his rate and his efficiency substantially.
This season, Hawke is batting .310 and has also walked 51 times, for a .455 on-base percentage.
He has very little power, with 10 doubles, two triples and no home runs.
But if every trip to first base results in a slide safely into second base, those extra-base hits become less important.
The 5-foot-8, 155-pound, left-handed hitter has a long way to go to ever become a big leaguer.
But if Hawke keeps doing this, he'll keep getting noticed.
