Hunter Greene is on his way.
The Cincinnati Reds' superstar pitcher hasn't pitched since June 3 as he has dealt with a low grade groin strain.
But the news out of Cincinnati is good. Greene is on the path to a return.
Reds broadcast reporter Jim Day shared an update Friday night.
Greene just threw 30 pitches off a mound at the Reds' Arizona complex. His next step will be to throw two innings in an Arizona Complex League game.
Once Cincinnati feels good about Greene's performance in the ACL, he'll be elevated to Triple-A Louisville.

From there, it'll be about Greene getting his pitch count ramped up at Louisville before returning to the majors.
Greene went down with a career-best ERA so far, 2.72. He has 73 strikeouts in 59.2 MLB innings on the season.
For Cincinnati to make a playoff push, it needs as much of its ace as possible, so hopefully Greene can complete this recovery process in a month or less.
