When the Chicago Cubs traded for Kyle Tucker in a deal with the Houston Astros during last offseason, they understood that many teams around Major League Baseball would be interested in acquiring him on the free agency market this winter.
Unfortunately for the Cubs, there are several factors they must consider. Not only will Tucker be paid a ton of money, but the chances of him leaving for a bigger market could be possible.
There aren't many bigger markets than the Cubs, but the Los Angeles Dodgers are indeed one.
Are the Dodgers ready to spend big?
According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the Dodgers could price the Cubs out of Tucker, noting that Los Angeles is one of a few landing spots for the star Slugger.
"An incredibly consistent 29-year-old all-around talent who might be priced out of Chicago. Landing spots: Dodgers, Giants, Red Sox, Cubs," Heyman wrote.

Tucker has had a down year for his sake, but it's also fair to note that he's dealt with a few injuries.
If he can get back to what he's done for much of his career, he should be more than fine. Since he's returned from a short stint on the bench, Tucker has been great over the past 10 games.
According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, despite the injury, he's still looking at a $400 million deal.
“Few players are as good at any of the three facets of the game as Tucker, let alone all three. Betts is the most obvious, and he signed a 12-year, $365 million deal that started in his age-28 season.
“So, yeah, the number is going to be big -- likely in the $400 million range,” Passan wrote.
