The Chicago Cubs go into tonight down 2-1 in the NLDS, facing elimination. If they are to fall, they’ll have to face the music when it comes to their expiring contracts, including their superstar slugger, Kyle Tucker.
Tucker may leave, and if he does, they’ll need to find a replacement. Bleacher Report’s Kerry Miller believes the team will reunite with one of their 2016 World Series heroes: Kyle Schwarber.

“You probably already know Philadelphia re-signing Schwarber is the most likely outcome here. But if the Cubs fail to re-sign Kyle Tucker, going all-in on bringing Schwarber back home could be quite the back-up plan. Maybe they could even put him back at catcher once for old times' sake,” Miller wrote.
This season, Schwarber slashed .240/.365/.563/.928 and had the second most homers in the MLB with 56, and led the MLB with 132 RBI. He would be an amazing upgrade offensively, but there are two things to worry about.

Those two things are his age and the amount of money he’s going to ask for. Schwarber is four years older than Tucker, and he’s going to be asking for a whole lot more money since he blasted 187 home runs and 434 RBI in four years with the Phillies.
However, it could be worth it. He’s actually shown signs of getting better over time with the Phillies, and could be the piece that brings the Cubs back to a second World Series. Hopefully, they just give Schwarber a call and see if he wants to try and win another World Series in Chicago.
