The Chicago Cubs have been pretty busy over the last few days. They made headlines when they agreed to a trade with the Miami Marlins to acquire right-handed starting pitcher Edward Cabrera.

In Exchange, the Cubs sent their top prospect, Owen Cassie, alongside Christian Hernandez and Edgardo De Leon to Miami. Now, the North Siders have a capable starting rotation with Shoita Imanaga leading the charge.

However, they still have some pressing issues. They are at risk of losing Kyle Tucker, who is generating a ton of interest on the open market.

While the Cubs would love to re-sign Kyle Tucker, the possibility of that is looking slimmer by the day. Instead, they could shift their focus elsewhere, grabbing another star player before it is too late.

Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer makes the case that the club should consider Alex Bregman or Bo Bichette.

"On paper, the best way the Cubs can fill the Tucker-shaped hole is by simply re-signing Tucker. But since the odds of that seem somewhere between slim and none, alternative options will have to do. According to Ken Rosenthal and Will Sammon of The Athletic, the Cubs are reportedly interested in Alex Bregman or Bo Bichette."

Neither players s an outfielder, but both can produce the same, if not better, offensive firepower than Tucker. Both sluggers are coming off great seasons at the plate.

Across 114 games, Bregman hit.273/.360/.462 with 18 home runs and 62 runs batted in. Bichette, on the otherhand, hit.311/.357/.483 with 18 home runs and 94 runs batted in across 139 regular-season games and was a monster in the postseason while also being injured.

If the Cubs want one of these players, they'd better act fast, because their market is only increasing as we get deeper into the offseason.
