The Chicago Cubs have picked up their first game in the National League Central standings since July 30. That was the day the Cubs beat the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 in Milwaukee. It was also the last time the Brewers lost a game.... Until today..
Milwaukee fell 3-2 in ten innings to snap its 13-game winning streak. Despite that, the Brewers still hold an eight-game lead in the division.
The Cubs trailed the game 3-2 heading into the sixth inning, when Carson Kelly tied the game with an RBI single. In the eighth inning, Danswby Swanson's sac fly gave the Cubs the lead in front of 38,012 fans at Wrigley Field.

Chicago ended with six hits, including two from Pete Crow-Armstrong and Ian Happ.
For the Pirates, Bryan Reynolds and Nick Gonzalez both came away with two hits in the game. They finished with nine in the game. The bullpen for Pittsburgh allowed five hits and three runs in the final four innings.
The Cubs and Brewers are set to start a five-game series on Monday. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Monday, before finishing the series up on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
