They are just the second American League franchise to reach the wins milestone, joining the New York Yankees.
The Red Sox used a seven-run third inning to take control of the Nationals, just like they did in an 11-2 win on Friday over Washington. Jarran Duran had a two-run triple and Roman Anthony drove in a run during the frame.
Rafaela drove in three as Gonzalez had a pair of RBI. Buehler went five innings, striking out two while allowing eight hits and two earned runs. Boston got four scoreless innings from the bullpen, as they allowed just one hit and struck out two without walking a batter.
