Quinn Priester spent his Saturday throwing the best game of his MLB life.
The right-handed pitcher went 7.0 innings, allowing just a single hit and two walks while striking out 11.
And if not for one fateful move, that could've been done in a Boston Red Sox uniform.
But instead, Boston traded Priester to the Milwaukee Brewers on April 7 for prospects Yophery Rodriguez and John Holobetz along with the No. 33 pick in the upcoming draft.
Sure, those pieces could still develop into MLB contributors, but Priester is finally living up to his prospect status.

The Red Sox had only gotten Priester when the Pirates gave up on him after a promising minor league career slowed down a tad.
But then Boston didn't wait it out with Priester, either.
Now, he's turning into a consistently strong performer for the Brewers.
Still just 24, Priester has a 3.35 ERA this season.
In his five starts in June, Priester had a 1.98 ERA with 29 strikeouts in 27.1 innings.
It sure seems like he's figured it out, and the Brewers are the beneficiaries, not the Red Sox.
