The Baltimore Orioles are entering the offseason looking to fill their managerial position. They fired their manager, Brandon Hyde, back in May and replaced him with third-base coach Tony Mansolino.

Mansolino is currently a candidate to keep the job, but he is not the only one the Orioles will talk to. The club has been linked to Skip Schumaker, David Ross, and Bob Melvin.

However, with the latest news, fans will forget all of those other names. According to ESPN's Aiden Gonzalez and Jeff Passan, the club has expressed interest in Albert Pujols.

Albert Pujols has expressed his interest in becoming an MLB coach over the last few seasons. He is currently the manager of Leones del Escogido in the Dominican Professional Baseball League and will manage the Dominican Republic in the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

According to Passan and Gonzalez, the Orioles could have an edge here. Matt Holliday, Jackson Holliday's father, shares a close relationship with the former 11x All-Star slugger.

Outside of the Orioles, the Los Angeles Angels are also interested in acquiring Pujols to be their next skipper. They are the only team to formally interview him, but Baltimore could be next.

Pujols could be an excellent fit for either team, and they likely will not be the only ones to see how feasible it would be to have Pujols lead their team next season. The Atlanta Braves are looking for a new manager with Brian Snitker stepping down, and the same goes for the San Diego Padres, Colorado Rockies, San Francisco Giants, Minnesota Twins, and Washington Nationals.
