MLB insider reveals three things the Orioles must focus on this offseason image

The 2025 season is not one that Baltimore Orioles fans want to remember. Going into the season with some promise, they fell flat on their faces this year.

The O's finished the regular season with a record of 75-87, which was good enough for last place in the AL East. This was the first time they finished last in the division since the 2021 season.

Now, the front office turns its attention to the offseason. They have some holes they need to address, and they will also have to navigate the 2026 season under new manager Craig Albernaz.

MLB insider reveals three things the Orioles must focus on this offseason

The Orioles will be kept plenty busy over the winter. The Athletic's Jim Bowden believes they will be busy making upgrades in their starting rotation, in the bullpen and will look for an outfielder.

"The Orioles did an excellent job in hiring Craig Albernaz as their manager. Now they have to give him a pitching staff that can help the Orioles to be contenders in 2026. They have significant needs in the rotation and bullpen and plan on adding to both areas. They'll also scour the free agent and trade markets looking for an outfielder."

With their history of not spending big, players like Kyle Tucker and Cody Bellinger may be out of the picture. However, bringing in someone like Trent Grisham could greatly improve the club's status and would not cost as much as the top names.

On the pitching side, someone like Nick Martinez could be a great addition. They could also look at the top names like Dylan Cease or Framber Valdez, or they could hit up the Milwaukee Brewers to see what it would take to trade for Freddy Peralta.
