The Baltimore Orioles finished the 2025 season with an 75-87 record. Baltimore had a very disappointing season after making the playoffs the last two seasons.

There are many questions about what this team will do at manager. For now, Mike Elias will remain in the front office for the 2026 MLB season. He will be choosing the next manager for this franchise. Brandon Hyde was fired during the middle of the 2025 season. Tony Mansolino took over as the interim manager on May 17. It remains to be seen if this organization will keep him for the long haul.

Baltimore Orioles' Mike Elias hints at potentially keeping Tony Mansolino

ESPN.com shared a story from the Associated Press about what the plans are for the Orioles this offseason when it comes to finding a new manager. It said,

"Tony Mansolino remains in limbo as manager of the Baltimore Orioles.

Team president Mike Elias said Monday that the Orioles would consider other options for their managerial position, but Mansolino -- who was the interim manager for most of this season -- will be a candidate. Both Mansolino and Elias took questions at a wrap-up news conference after Baltimore sank to last place in the AL East following two straight postseason appearances."

It appears as if Elias could potentially bring back Mansolino next season as manager. He could very well be the front runner for the job. There would be mixed reactions from the Orioles fanbase if they decided to keep him as the manager. No matter who becomes the next manager for this team, Elias has to spend money on starting pitching and bullpen. It was one of the weaknesses this season.

Baltimore has a lot of talent on the roster. They underachieved in 2025. This is a big offseason for the general manager. If he does not provide the needs for the Orioles to the next manager, then there is no doubt he can potentially be canned.
