The Atlanta Braves have made a few key moves so far this winter. They've brought back Raisel Iglesias on a one-year, $16 million deal, and also signed Robert Suarez to a three-year, $45 million contract.
But for the lineup, they only signed outfielder Mike Yastrzemski to a two-year, $23 million contract. Shortstop is still a major hole to address this winter.
Fortunately for the Braves and general manager Alex Anthopoulos, there's a great option in former Toronto Blue Jays superstar Bo Bichette. Jon Morosi of MLB Network predicts that the Braves will make such a splash, landing the top free agent shortstop this winter.
Braves predicted to make major free agent splash on Bo Bichette
"How about former Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos being the one who signs to play shortstop in Atlanta?" Morosi proposed. "Keep that idea in mind."

Bichette has been linked to the Braves before this offseason, but this prediction from Morosi coincides with the Blue Jays being predicted to sign Kyle Tucker.
For this prediction to come true, where the Braves get Bichette, they will have to root for the Blue Jays to sign Kyle Tucker to a major new contract.
Toronto won't sign both, and if they get Tucker, the Braves emerge as clear suitors for Bichette this winter. While some other clubs want to move him away from shortstop, the Braves might be one of the few willing to keep him there.

The 27-year-old hit.311 this past season, and while his.598 OPS in 2024 is a major red flag, when he's on, Bichette is one of the better hitters in the Majors.
Atlanta would be lucky to sign him, and this prediction from Morosi would be an ideal offseason move for the Braves. But it might only happen if the Blue Jays sign Kyle Tucker.
It may seem strange, but Braves fans might have to root for Tucker to sign with the Blue Jays this offseason. Bichette likely won't return to Toronto if they sign Tucker, making the Braves one of his best landing spots if Toronto signs Tucker.
