While the Atlanta Braves have been one of MLB's most consistent teams over the years, this past season was a bit of a disaster. The club was bitten by the injury bug, making it hard for them to get anything going.

They missed the postseason for the first time since the 2017 season, but there are hopes the club can return in 2026. They have a great foundation, but need to stay healthy and add another source of offensive power and a frontline starting pitcher.

On the prospect side of things, the club is not ranked too high, but there are some names to be excited about. Cam Caminiti, a left-handed pitcher drafted in the first round of the 2024 MLB Draft, sits atop the prospect rankings.

While plenty of fans know the top prospects, there are some prospects outside of the top ten that fans may want to get familiar with. Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter urges fans to keep an eye on the No. 13 prospect, John Gil.

"Gil does not turn 20 years old until May 14, but he already has 145 games between Single-A and Double-A under his belt, putting him well ahead of the developmental curve. He hit.258/.352/.378 with 33 extra-base hits and 50 steals in 100 games at Single-A, and has looked the part of a future shortstop while also seeing some action at third base."

Despite not even turning 20 yet, the young slugger has already experienced well over 100 games in the minors.

One thing that scouts love about Gil's game is his speed. He is a game-changer on the basepaths, making opposing pitchers nervous when he gets on.

Gil also has a great understanding of the strikezone and has shown the ability to make hard contact. If he continues to develop like he has been, he could be in for a really good 2026 season.
