It looks like it's going to be close.

Atlanta Braves legend Andruw Jones will find out Tuesday night whether he was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. And the voting totals are trending toward coming right down to the wire.

"He's sitting at 83.0% in the tracker, which puts him in good position for election," writes MLB.com's Brian Murphy. "A player's vote percentage in the tracker is often greater than the actual final tally. For instance, Beltrán's final percentage in the tracker last year was 80.5%. He ended up at 70.3%. Jones' final percentage in the 2025 tracker was 72.4%. Once every ballot was counted, he was at 66.2%. If he experiences the same decline this year, Jones would still be elected to the Hall with a little room to spare, at 76.8%. He clears the 75% threshold in 93% of the simulations run by Sardell."

Jones won 10 Gold Gloves with some of the best centerfield defense in the history of the sport.

He also ended his career with 434 home runs.

He declined more sharply late in his career than many players do, and so there are also memories of him being out of shape and struggling in the closing stages of his career.

But very few players had a peak like Jones.

"Jones ranked third in Baseball-Reference WAR (57.6) during his 10-year peak from 1998 through 2007," Murphy writes. "The two players in front of him? (Alex) Rodriguez (80.0) and (Barry) Bonds (71.0)."

At his peak, Jones was certainly a Hall of Fame player.

He's going to find out Tuesday night whether that's finally true for the rest of baseball history, too.
