The Atlanta Braves' struggles have led many to call for the dismissal of manager Brian Snitker.
But one MLB insider expects Snitker to leave town under different circumstances.
The Athletic's Jim Bowden writes that he thinks Snitker will retire at the end of the season. Bowden predicts the same fate for Rangers manager Bruce Bochy.
"There is a lot of buzz in the industry that Braves manager Brian Snitker and Rangers manager Bruce Bochy could retire at season’s end, which would be a big loss for the sport," Bowden wrote. "Both are classy people with impressive track records who have been great for the game."

Snitker won a World Series title with the Braves in 2021. He was a baseball lifer who hadn't managed at the MLB level before getting the chance with Atlanta, with whom he has a 764-620 record entering Friday night.
At the time of Bowden's report, the Braves were 29-38.

Snitker turns 70 years old in October.
He's been on a great run, but a season of struggles, and calls for his job, might make it a little easier to depart.
It wouldn't be shocking for him to stick around the game in some capacity, though, even if he is dismissed. Baseball is Snitker's life.
