The Atlanta Braves knew this was coming.
But even with pending free agents, the Braves didn't trade a few veterans away at the trade deadline. A spot down in the standings didn't have Atlanta starting a rebuild.
Now, four Braves have hit free agency.
The MLB season ended Saturday night when the Dodgers beat the Blue Jays in Game 7 of the World Series.
This week, there are free agents available to be signed.

MLB released a list of the veterans who have become free agents, and for the Braves, there are four names:
- Connor Seabold
- Raisel Iglesias
- Marcell Ozuna
- Charlie Morton
Iglesias remains a solid reliever in decent leverage.
Ozua still has strong hitting ability, although he's definitely a DH-only at this point.
Morton is probably washed up but also seems like the kind of guy who could try to pitch forever.

Atlanta has most of its core back. And they could even bring back a few of these players.
But after a brutal 2025, the Braves might need to find a spark for the lineup. Even bringing Ozuna back wouldn't fit that bill, and he's probably on the decline.
What the Braves do next will say a lot about how they feel about their chances in 2026.
