There could potentially be reunions in Arizona next season.

According to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM, the Arizona Diamondbacks are showing interest in reunions with starting pitcher Merrill Kelly and first baseman Paul Goldschmidt.

Kelly spent the first 6 1/2 season of his professional career with the Diamondbacks. In his time there, Kelly went 62-50 with a 3.74 ERA across 162 starts and 953 innings pitched. Along with the regular season success, Kelly had an excellent 2023 postseason, going 3-1 with a 2.25 ERA in four starts and 24 innings pitched.

Kelly was traded to the Texas Rangers prior to last season's MLB trade deadline and had a disappointing tenure. His disappointing tenure with Texas made him unlikely to return as a free agent and further opened the door on a return to Arizona.

For Goldschmidt, he is undoubtedly one of the greatest players in Diamondbacks history. In eight seasons with the organization, Goldschmidt slashed.297/.398/.532 with 209 home runs, 710 RBI and a.930 OPS.

Along with the stats above, Goldschmidt made six All-Star Games, finished top 10 in MVP voting four times, won three Gold Glove Awards and three Silver Slugger Awards. He was a cornerstone of Arizona's successful 2017 and 2018 seasons and it feels that fans would certainly welcome a reunion with one of the great players in franchise history.
