The Arizona Diamondbacks have some incredibly talented players on the roster, with Corbin Carroll and Ketel Marte taking the spotlight. But Geraldo Perdomo is just, if not better than, those two superstars.
Perdomo is a 26-year-old infielder who's broken out into one of the best hitters in Major League Baseball over the last few seasons. He's been great, and he might not be the only Perdomo in Arizona going forward.
According to Diamondbacks Prospects on Twitter/x, the Diamondbacks are set to sign international free-agent outfielder Yeraldo Perdomo, who is the younger brother of Geraldo. The Diamondbacks are going to have two Perdomos in the org.
Diamondbacks to sign brother of Geraldo Perdomo
"NEWS: The Dbacks are signing (or are set to sign) OF Yeraldo Perdomo," @dbacksprospectz posted on Twitter/x. "If you're curious, yes, that is Geraldo Perdomo's brother! I really hope they share the same field one day!"
Yeraldo Perdomo will be an international signing and is a ways away from making the Major Leagues.
But, with his brother waiting in the Majors with the same organization, there might be some extra motivation to rise through the ranks.
The Perdomo connection is a fun one, and if the younger brother can perform like Geraldo di in 2025, then the Diamondbacks will have an incredible player working up through their farm system.

Last season for the Diamondbacks, Perdomo played in 161 games, posting an NL-best 7.0 bWAR with 173 hits, 33 doubles, five triples, 20 home runs, 98 runs scored, 100 RBIs, 27 stolen bases, a.290 batting average, an.851 OPS, and some of the best defense in baseball.
Yet, despite such a dominant season, Perdomo wasn't an All-Star, though he did win a Silver Slugger award, and was 4th-place in NL MVP voting.
Yeraldo reaching the Major Leagues is a ways away, but if he does, he will have some lofty expectations placed on him with how great his brother has been for the Diamondbacks.
