Since district play began, the Eagles have bludgeoned opponents with a string of lopsided scores, rolling through New Diana (70-10), De Kalb (68-0), Troup (46-13), and Arp (66-20).

After entering the playoffs at 6-4, the Brahmas have stacked wins over Rogers, Poth and Lexington before stunning previously unbeaten Tidehaven 34-31 in a regional final to improve to 10-4. East Bernard, which dropped its regular-season finale at Tidehaven 59-6, flipped the script in the rematch to punch its ticket to the semifinals. The Brahmas now face a 13-1 Newton team that has allowed just over 11 points per game as they look to extend their surprise run to the state championship game.
