High school football takes over the Superdome this weekend, with eight state titles set to be decided in Louisiana's annual Prep Classic.
The headliner is AllSportsPeople Top 25 No. 11 Edna Karr vs. St. Augustine in the Division I Select final on Saturday afternoon, a rematch of an Oct. 3 game that resulted in the Purple Knights' lone defeat.
A win there would give the Cougars back-to-back titles, but they aren't the only team looking for a repeat. Archbishop Shaw (Division II Select) and Sterlington (Division III Non-Select) also are back in New Orleans looking to defend their crowns from 2024.
In addition, three teams that lost in last year's state finals will look for a better outcome this time: Ruston (Division I Non-Select), Dunham (Division III Select) and Haynesville (Division IV Non-Select).
