Florida is one of the deepest, most talent-rich states in the country for high school football, making its state playoffs a must-see for any fan.
Some of the country's top teams tee it up Friday in the FHSAA state semifinals, led by AllSportsPeople Top 25 No. 8 St. Thomas Aquinas in 5A, along with MaxPreps national No. 20 Miami Northwestern (3A) and No. 21 Chaminade-Madonna (1A).
College football fans can also check out incoming recruits like five-stars Calvin Russell of Northwestern (Syracuse) and Dia Bell of American Heritage (Texas), along with four-stars including Booker's Chauncey Kennon (FSU) and Kevontay Hugan (Indiana); Bolles School stars Naeem Burroughs (Clemson) and Simeon Caldwell (Ohio State); and Venice's Johnnie Jones (Missouri) and Asharri Charles (Miami).
