Boerne lost to Randle Friday evening in the Texas UIL Class 5A Division II state semifinals.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas, Dec. 12 —  The Randle Lions are headed back to Arlington next weekend to try and defend their 2024 Texas UIL Class 5A Division II after defeating the Boerne [TX] Greyhounds,  40-16, Friday night at the Alamodome.

Randle has won 31 straight games, and they'll face the same South Oak Cliff [Dallas, TX] Bears' squad they faced in last year's championship contest. The Lions won that game in a 38-35 shootout in Arlington.

Randle's Landen Williams-Callis was the big star for the Lions as always with 202 yards rushing and five touchdowns before sitting out the fourth quarter.

The Lions will enter the championship game undefeated again at 15-0 while South Oak Cliff is 14-1 after defeating the Melissa [TX] Cardinals, 35-17, Friday night.
