Arguably the best high school football program in Oklahoma in the 21st century can claim yet another gold ball.
Bixby can continue its dynastic run as the Spartans go for their eighth straight state title, and fourth consecutive in Class 6A-I, as they face Owasso for the 6A-I championship Saturday night at Edmond’s Chad Richison Stadium.

The Spartans (12-0) will face the Rams (10-2) in the 6A-I title game for the second consecutive season. In that game a year ago, Owasso entered with an unbeaten record, but Bixby pulled off a 43-42 win in overtime after successfully executing a two-point conversion.
Then, both teams faced off in the regular season opener on August 28, with Bixby taking a 49-21 win at the University of Tulsa.
Bixby is also going for its 11th state title in program history, all coming since 2014. The only season the Spartans didn’t win state in that span was 2017.
Owasso is going for its fourth state championship, and the first since 2019.
