J5 SheGotGame Classic Hawaii key results
The 2025-26 season got hectic quite quickly in Hawaii.
No. 7 Montverde Academy lost to Faith Family Academy, which fell to a two-loss Kamehameha Kapalama team the next day after beating Montverde and Mt. Zion Prep Academy. Montverde did bounce back to defeat Kamehameha Kapalama 58-40.
The one sight that wasn't a surprise was Clovis West, which known for coming out of the gate hot at interstate showcases, making a case for itself as a top-25 team in the country with wins over North Crowley, Millennium, and Kahuku.
Faith Family Academy's Amayah Garcia was named MVP and the All-Tournament Team consisted of Kapalama's Nihoa Dunn, North Crowley's Jamari Milton, Millennium's Dashia Richardson, Clovis West's Ryleigh Schnoover, and Montverde's Jordan Speller.

Thanksgiving HoopFest key results
While the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving constitute a break from work for many, those days sure did not this year for some of the nation's top contenders.
No. 2 Ontario Christian, No. 3 Legion Prep, No. 7 IMG Academy, No. 9 The St. James Performance Academy, No. 19 Denton Ryan, and bubble teams Decatur, Grind Prep, Lancaster, and Lincoln (Dallas) all made appearances in Texas at Thanksgiving HoopFest – with mixed results. The same can be said for a slew of other teams on our radar that didn't quite make the season-opening rankings, such as Argyle, Douglass, Cypress Springs, Duncanville, Putnam City North, North Crowley, DeSoto, Dallas HSAA, Faith Family Academy, South Grand Prairie, Houston Christian, La Vega, and Kinkaid.
Here are some of the more notable results:
- No. 2 Ontario Christian made a statement by blowing out No. 19 Denton Ryan 96-43 and Lancaster 86-63.
- No. 3 Legion Prep bounced back from a 20-point loss to DME Academy to hand The St. James its first-ever loss 66-57.
- No. 7 IMG Academy held Kinkaid and Lincoln (Dallas) to a combined 76 points in two wins.
- Before the Legion Prep loss, The St. James Performance Academy destroyed formidable Houston Christian 73-27 in its inaugural contest.
- Argyle picked up its first loss after a 10-0 start in a slight upset at the hands of Douglass.
- Even with Ayla McDowell (South Carolina) and Jemini Mitchell (Legion Prep) gone, Cypress Springs proved it's still nationally relevant with an upset of Decatur.
- With 4-star guard Jayla Constant back from Grind Prep, reigning Oklahoma champion Putnam City North opened the season with wins over traditional Texas powers Duncanville and DeSoto.
- After beating Montverde Academy and getting upset by Kamehameha Kapalama, Faith Family Academy pulled out a close win against Kinkaid.
