Lake Travis (TX) at Austin Westlake (TX)

One week after handing previously unbeaten Dripping Springs its first loss of the season, Lake Travis will look to hand Austin Westlake its first District 26-6A setback.

The Cavaliers and Chaparrals head into Friday’s clash with perfect 3-0 records in district play. Lake Travis is 7-0 overall, while Austin Westlake is 6-1 with its only loss coming to Prosper in the season opener.

It’s usually a fun game when these two rivals that are separated by 12 miles get together for the Battle of the Lakes. Lake Travis and Westlake have met twice each of the last two seasons — in district play and the fourth round of the playoffs.

The Chaps have won six straight over the Cavs, who last notched a series win in 2019. Westlake is also retiring alum and Super Bowl champion Drew Brees’ number in a pregame ceremony.
