A twist not even Hollywood could have seen coming.
The U.S. Open heads to Los Angeles for the third of four golf majors in 2023, but the play on the course might take a backseat to the major news that rocked clubhouses just a week ago. The PGA Tour struck a deal with the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), effectively merging the Tour and LIV Golf and ending the golf schism. To that end, it's fitting that Tinsel Town plays as the backdrop for this year's U.S. Open.

Entering the U.S. Open, PGA Tour and LIV Golf players alike have some pretty good shots to win the tourney. Brooks Koepka, fresh off a PGA Championship win in May, has an opportunity to add a sixth major. Masters winner Jon Rahm searches for another major of his own, while Scottie Scheffler aims to get the putter working as he looks to finish the job after a T-2 finish in 2022.

U.S. Open schedule 2023
The 2023 U.S. Open will air exclusively on NBC-operated networks: NBC and USA will carry the over-the-air broadcast through all four days of the event.
For cord-cutters looking to stream, there are a few options: Peacock will be carrying select coverage, including featured groups and holes, throughout the tournament. Viewers may also sign up for Fubo, which carries NBC and USA Network, allowing you to catch U.S. Open coverage on the streaming service. Fubo also offers a free trial.
