The TMRW Golf League, better known as TGL, is coming back for Season 2.
TGL's 2026 campaign will feature 15 matches during the regular season before the top four teams advance to the playoffs. The season will launch with a championship rematch between New York and Atlanta in December and conclude with the best-of-three finals in March.
Some of the biggest names in golf will once again participate with TGL co-founders Tiger Woods (Jupiter) and Rory McIlroy (Boston) leading the way. Which team will claim the title this year?

TGL golf teams 2026
Six TGL teams will participate in the 2026 season. Motor City Golf Club, representing Detroit, will become the league's seventh team in 2027.

What does TGL stand for?
Many viewers may assume that TGL is an acronym for "Tiger's Golf League" because of Woods' involvement. It actually stands for TMRW Golf League.
TMRW Sports, a company founded by Woods, McIlroy and former NBC Sports executive Mike McCarley, announced the creation of the league in 2022.
TGL golf format
TGL matches consist of players covering 15 holes across two sessions. The first session (holes 1-9) is called "triples," and the second session (holes 10-15) is called "singles."
Triples is a three-on-three format in which players rotate shots. For example, Player 1 will tee off, Player 2 will hit the second shot and Player 3 will hit the third shot. The lineup also rotates so each player hits every type of shot. Singles is a head-to-head format in which each matchup covers two holes.
Each hole is worth one point, and the team with the most points wins the match. A team can also throw a "hammer" to add one point to a hole's value, and each team has three "hammers" per match.
If a hole ends in a tie, no points are awarded, and teams advance to the next hole. If the match ends in a tie, teams face off in a closest-to-the-pin competition.

TGL matches will be held at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. The venue, located on the campus of Palm Beach State College, was built specifically for TGL matches and measures nearly 250,000 square feet.
