LIV Golf begins in earnest on Thursday with LIV Golf London, the first major tournament for the Saudi-backed PGA Tour challenger. On Tuesday, the league held a draft featuring 12 captains selecting from a pool of 36 players, making teams of four.
The draft was a four-round snake draft that included names such as Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson as captains.
Several players resigned their PGA Tour membership to join LIV Golf in a controversial decision. Johnson and Sergio Garcia were among the names to do so, alongside Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel and Branden Grace. Kevin Na resigned over the weekend.
