Week 14 marks both the final week of NFL byes and the last regular-season matchup for most fantasy football leagues.

Unfortunately, many big running backs will be absent for fantasy managers' push for a playoff berth or a higher seed/points total.

Christian McCaffrey, TreVeyon Henderson, Tyrone Tracy, and the Panthers' Rico Dowdle-Chuba Hubbard duo will duck out at the worst time for fantasy players.

On the bright side, we may welcome back at least one major name who's been out due to a long-term injury.

Who are the best names to replace these every-week options? Let's dig into the murkier running back tiers to make important start-sit decisions with AllSportsPeople' Week 15 fantasy RB rankings.

Which fantasy running backs have a Week 15 bye?

The NFL no longer has bye weeks for the 2025-26 season. All active, healthy running backs are available for fantasy lineups.

Which top RB injuries should I know for Week 15 fantasy rankings?

  • The biggest injury news to watch as of Monday is De'Von Achane's rib injury suffered during what could've been a 200-plus-yard game versus the Jets. The Dolphins star left the game in the first half and didn't return -- though head coach Mike McDaniel said he kept the running back out for precautionary purposes in the blowout win. Any Achane absence would open up a likely timeshare for Ollie Gordon and Jaylen Wright, who each scored a TD of their own on the day.
  • Also of note on the health reports will be whether the Cardinals will activate Trey Benson (knee) from injured reserve in the final days of his 21-day practice window. If Arizona (3-10) opts to let Benson rest in a lost season, that would allow Bam Knight and Michael Carter (and eventually Emari Demercado) to carry the load in a potentially frustrating weekly arrangement. If Benson does resurface, his Week 16 (Falcons) and Week 17 (Bengals) opponents, typically doormats to running backs, could help him capture many fantasy championships.
  • If Alvin Kamara (knee) misses another week, Devin Neal will continue to serve as New Orleans' RB1. The Saints may opt to leave Kamara sidelined against the Panthers and perhaps the rest of the season, since New Orleans has nothing to play for.
  • Nick Chubb (ribs) exited Sunday Night Football and didn't return; his absence would cement Woody Marks' RB1/RB2 value versus the lowly Cardinals and perhaps allow Dare Ogunbowale, who found the end zone in his place, to creep into flex territory and an even bigger role for whoever long the veteran must sit.
  • Coming off a bye, the Giants' Tyrone Tracy (hip) probably will play, but watch for updates on his status that may increase Devin Singletary's value.

Which running backs should I add from the Week 15 waiver wire?

  • Blake Corum, Rams (33%)
  • Ollie Gordon (8%) and Jaylen Wright (3%), Dolphins
  • Devin Singletary, Giants (24%)
  • Dare Ogunbowale, Texans (0%)

All rostership percentages are current on Yahoo Fantasy Sports as of Monday.

➕ Best fantasy RB pickups this week: Week 15 waiver wire

Who are the best Week 15 fantasy running backs?

Achane, at least temporarily, remains near the top of the RB rankings, depending on impending reports on the severity of his rib injury.

Usual suspects grace the top of the tiers, including Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs, James Cook, and fresh-off-bye Christian McCaffrey.

However, a glaring question mark resides next to Jonathan Taylor, who could hit more snags with Daniel Jones (Achilles) out for the rest of the season.

Riley Leonard (knee) or Brett Rypien is set to start in Week 15, which would mean plenty of stacked boxes daring the Colts to run on them. A matchup with the tough Seahawks notwithstanding, we're still slotting Taylor in RB1 territory due to expected volume and the continued elite performance of Indianapolis' offensive line.

Ashton Jeanty will find more room to work against the Eagles than many think, especially if Jalen Carter remains injured up front.

Which RB fantasy sleepers should I start in Week 15?

Chris Rodriguez steps into a mouth-watering matchup with a Giants defense that has allowed one of the highest per-game scoring rates to fantasy running backs this past month. The Commanders' new lead back was a recommended pickup from our team last week and, despite game flow getting away from him, churned out 52 yards on 10 carries in Week 14. Washington should control the pace and allow him to pile up better numbers, regardless of whether Jayden Daniels (left elbow) or Marcus Mariota starts at quarterback.

Start the Bears duo of D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai with confidence against Cleveland's soft run defense.

To be fair, the Jets defense had to deal with poor weather and little-to-no offensive upside, but they wilted against the Dolphins' ground game last week. If QBs Tyrod Taylor (groin) and Justin Fields (knee) remain hurt and Brady Cook must line up under center, they won't hold the ball much. This points to a busy day for Jaguars running backs Travis Etienne (obviously a must-start) and sleeper backup Bhayshul Tuten, who should benefit from a favorable game script.

Who are the biggest RB bust candidates for fantasy Week 15?

Benching Josh Jacobs in the fantasy playoffs is a tough sentence to type, but he's settled near the bottom of the RB2 tiers above, thanks to a daunting date with the Broncos defense.

Just above him is Breece Hall, after his dud week that came as a result of poor weather and, more applicable now, the Jets' quarterback troubles. Sure, he can be used as a receiver, but it's tough to trust any Jets skill player unless Taylor is active.
